9/11 Aftermath Report Released

The World Trade Center Medical Working Group of New York City has released the first of planned annual reports related to the aftermath of the attacks on September 11, 2001. According to the Chicago Tribune, the group reported that of the 40,000 rescue and recovery workers screen nationally, more than 10,500 received federally-funded treatment for physical conditions, 5,500 for mental health conditions. These numbers do not reflect those who have been treated privately.
