Johns Hopkins Studies Firefighter Heart Attacks

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health has received a $1 million grant from the U.S. government to research the high number of firefighter heart attacks, which is the leading cause of death among firefighters, according to the Baltimore Sun. Johns Hopkins will work with the National Volunteer Fire Council studying fitness programs in hopes of discovering ways to reduce preventable heart conditions.
