IAFF to Create Thinner, Lighter SCBA

The Department of Homeland Security awarded the International Association of Fire Fighters a $2 million contract over 15 months to develop a new pressure vessel that will lead to thinner, lighter and flexible SCBA. The IAFF is working with Vulcore Industrial in Fort Wayne, Ind., to accomplish this.
