NFPA Releases 2007 Firefighter Injury Report

The National Fire Protection Association released the 2007 Firefighter Injury report. According to the NFPA Journal, the results are based on data collected from a 2007 NFPA survey of fire departments. This year’s report includes an estimate of the total number of 2007 firefighter injuries, the number of injuries by type of duty, the number of exposures to infectious diseases, trends in firefighter injuries and rates, fireground injuries by cause, fire department vehicle accidents and resulting firefighter injuries, the average number of fires and fireground injuries per department by the population of the community protected, and ...
