Canadian Fire Chief Resigns

The Times Colonist reports that Metchosin Fire Chief Steen Skou has resigned amid complaints from firefighters regarding his management style. Skou had been on the volunteer department for 13 years and been chief for the past four years. Metchosin is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Assistant Chief Stephanie Dunlop has five years with the department and was appointed interim chief. "She's our most highly trained officer and has the respect of all the other Metchosin emergency services and the firefighters themselves," Metchosin Mayor John Ranns told the paper.
