Custom Frame

A controversial emergency management issue in the city of Petersburg, Va., is hazard mitigation. The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Hazard Mitigation Independent Study defines hazard mitigation as “sustained actions taken to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from hazards and their effects.
