Mt. Juliet Plans Volunteer Fire Department

Right now, Mt. Juliet, Tenn. uses a small company of county emergency management workers to protect the city, and often relies on neighboring cities to help fight fires. According to the Tennessean, about 30 Mt. Juliet residents have expressed interest in forming a new volunteer fire company that will solve several short-term issues with the town's fire protection. However, whether city leaders are obligated to hire full-time firefighters is still up for debate. A single county-run fire hall has served the community for years. Mt.
