Md. County Makes Residential Sprinklers Mandatory

The Anne Arundel (Md.) county council approved a measure to require residential sprinklers in all new homes beginning later this year. The bill was first introduced in late 2008, and supported by every major fire service organization on a federal, state and local level. The bi-partisan vote passed 6 to 1.
