Filicide by fire

Smoke and flames are seen billowing from the side bedroom window of an occupied dwelling early one morning by a neighbor on his way to work. By the time the fire crews arrive in the lower middle-class neighborhood, clusters of people are standing in the front yard. Some are watching the spreading fire, others are huddled around a young man and woman, embracing them in turn. Fire officials soon learn that two children perished in the flames.
