Fire Chief, Wife Save Woman from Train Wreck

The Associated Press reports that Franklin Square (N.Y.) Volunteer Fire Department Chief Anthony LoCicero and his wife, an off-duty police officer, rescued a 63-year-old woman just before a train destroyed her car. AP reports that the woman drove her car on the tracks, thinking it was a road, and became stuck as the train approached. The woman yelled that she needed help. The LoCiceros pulled her from the car to safety seconds before it was struck, flipped and dragged by the train. There were no injuries reported.
