Gammon New Las Vegas Fire Chief

Greg Gammon became the new chief of the Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Department. Gammon replaces Chief David L. Washington, who retired from in October, after 33 years of service with the department. Gammon’s appointment took effect in January. As fire chief, Gammon will oversee 16 fire stations and more than 700 employees, who provide fire suppression, public safety, emergency medical services, bomb squad and hazmat services, rescue operations, public education, fire prevention, arson investigation and emergency management operations. “I am honored to be chosen from such an impressive list of candidates,” said Gammon. “I am ready to ...
