Lincoln, Ill. Swears in new Fire Chief

Ken Hulett was named the new fire chief of Lincoln, Ill. this week. He replaces Jim Davis, who retired in November 2007. According to the Bloomington Pantagraph, Hulett is a retired captain from the Rockford (Ill.) Fire Department with 33 years in the service. “We have done a lot of work on this,” Lincoln Mayor Beth Davis-Kavelman told the paper. “We discussed this quite a bit and decided we should go outside and allow anyone to apply as well as look at our candidates internally.
