Alarm Companies Sued for LODD

Carolyn Desmond is suing in Contra Costa, Calif., Superior Court Utah-based Pinnacle Security and Illinois-based Security Associates International for her husband's death and that of Fire Captain Matt Burton while responding to a house fire last year. According to the Contra Costa Times, it took nearly 10 minutes from the time the home's fire alarm alerted the alarm company to the time the first firefighter was dispatched.
