Bush Visits National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Nearly 7,000 attendees gathered at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial this past weekend to honor firefighters who have died in the line of duty. The speakers included David Paulson, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Gregory Cade, U.S. Fire administrator; Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.); and President Bush. Ron Siarnicki, executive director of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, says that Bush is the only president to attend the ceremony and has done so twice: this year and in 2001.
