FIRE CHIEF Names 2008 Chiefs of the Year

FIRE CHIEF presented its 13th annual Fire Chief of the Year Awards at Fire-Rescue International in Denver. Chief Charles L. Werner of the Charlottesville (Va.) Fire Department and Chief Michael H. Lee of the Bethany Fire Department, Reidsville, N.C., were recognized for their dedication and leadership in fire and emergency services. Profiles of both winners will be featured in the October issue and at FireChief.com. FIRE CHIEF solicited nominations from more than 55 emergency service–related associations and organizations.
