R. David Paulison confirmed as U.S. Fire Administrator

The United States Senate voted by unanimous consent to confirm R. David Paulison of Miami as the head of the U.S. Fire Administration. Paulison, 54, was chief of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department and past president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. USFA is part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. As the the U.S. Fire Administrator, Paulison will lead a key agency supporting state and local fire service programs.
