Chief Tackles Troubled Department

Milo Bennett has left his position as chief of the Centennial Fire District in Minnesota to help reform the Oak Grove Fire Department as interim chief. According to McClatchy-Tribune Information Services, in his new role, he will review every aspect of operations at the Oak Grove department, where a man's death in a March fire was blamed on failures by the department's supervisors. Bennett spent 18 years as a volunteer firefighter and 18 more as chief of the Continental Fire District.
