DHS Director Suzanne Mencer Resigns

The Congressional Quarterly is reporting today that Suzanne Mencer, director of the Office of State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness, has submitted her resignation. Below is the article from Congressional Quarterly: Senior Department of Homeland Security official C. Suzanne Mencer submitted her resignation Thursday, effective Jan. 31, 2005. Mencer, who is director of the Office of State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness, sent an e-mail announcement to her staff saying that she wanted to spend more time with her husband and son in Colorado, according to a copy of the letter obtained by CQ Homeland Security. ...
