Aussie Union Members Back Strike

The United Firefighters Union is considering striking as part of an ongoing wages dispute with the Queensland, Australia, government. According to ABC News, the UFU is appealing against an Industrial Relations Commission ruling in June that rejected a pay rise for firefighters. The union will not take immediate action because firefighters are still hoping for a new offer from the government, but will reconsider if the government does not revise its position.
