USFA Offers Pilot IMT Course

The U.S. Fire Administration is conducting a pilot class for its newly developed six-day course, Command and General Staff Functions for Local Incident Management Teams. The pilot class will be held Nov. 11–16 at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Md. The team-training course is designed fire, EMS, public works, public health and/or law enforcement personnel from a single jurisdiction, generally one that is larger and more populated, who would be activated to manage an incident requiring a significant number of local and mutual aid resources.
