U.K., U.S. Fire Chief Groups Share Program

The U.K.-based Institution of Fire Engineers recently reached a reciprocity agreement between the Institution and the Center for Public Safety Excellence with regard to the U.S. Chief Fire Officer Designation program. The reciprocity agreement provides members of the Institution of Fire Engineers with an excellent professional development opportunity at an international level. It is the culmination of discussions over several months in the United States, between the IFE U.S. branch and CPSE, and mapping work undertaken by Professional Competence Standards in the United Kingdom.
