Weather Vane May Sell for Millions

Sotheby's will auction off a 6-foot-tall copper weather vane which sat atop a Winchester (N.Y.) Volunteer Fire Company for at least 137 years. The auction house expects it to fetch between $3 and $5 million, according to the Times-Dispatch. The weather vane was given to Sotheby's for restoration and appraisal by the Rouss Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. The weather vane depicts a firefighter pointing into the wind.
